Totally agree with all the comments about new tires.
Put them on my '98 and it was like driving a new car! Most times, when you put new tires on, an alignment is recommended. In your case, since you already have identified "wandering" as an issue, I would recommend getting a full 4 wheel alignment just to be sure.
