....and I decided to draw what I interpreted the 2013 Viper to be. I studied the spy images and the "sneak peek" images to come up with this. I think I did it because the "teaser" didn't show much of anything. I did some editing in photoshop after I got it on my computer.

So for those that have actually seen the real thing at VOI...Am I close?

Nice I think the grille is pretty close based on the spy shoots.

Guys, I really appreciate the compliments, but I've already started taking this a step further. I'm putting this into 3D software to build a smooth, realistic looking version. I've read from several posts that the rear of the Gen V resembles an Aston Martin.

For those that have seen it, post more detail about the looks. Mainly the side profile and the rear. Someone post a picture of an Aston that reminds you of the car. Someone mock up some side shots of a Gen II/III/IV Viper showing where the changes are on the Gen V. We'll treat this like a police crime drawing and get closer to the real thing as we go.

Here is a preview of what I am doing. I just started, so be patient with it. I have to mold the basic shapes and carve in details later, but you can see where this can go if I can get some good description.

If SRT won't give us a good preview, we'll do our own.

Nice work. Allpar should use your drawing. It certainly is far superior to any image they have on their web site.

Can someone chime in on the exhaust? Where was it? Rear? Side? Rear middle? Side front like the Mercedes McLaren? How many exhaust tips? What shape where they? Round? Oval? Hexagonal? I really want to get my model as close to it as possible.

the car had side exhaust and they were sort of triangular but rounded with more of the front part cut off if that makes any sense.

Nice that you are making a 3D model. Only thing I must say is the front is too bulky. That would be like a brick going down the road. Work on the front tapering down if you can
