Looks like this might really be the time!

Without side comments, I would really like to know what you guys think I should sell my '98 RT/10 for. It's basically a garage queen, serviced exclusively by Chuck, has almost 8,300 miles, soft and hard tops, a/c great and very cold and took best in show two years ago at one of the shows we attend. Only lightly modded:

- Roe Smooth Tubes and S&B hi flow filters
- Roe hi-flow metal sub-strate cats
- Muffler delete with bullet glass packs at the end
- Painted carbon fiber Mopar (factory) style rear spoiler
- Clear bra on front of hood

Although I am biased, I think this is a really nice example of a red RT, Chuck certainly knows the car. I know rarity doesn't count for much, but there were relatively few '98's produced and I see few for sale as well.

Thanks...appreciate any thoughts!

253 red 98 RT/10s. Mine has been going strong for 137,000 miles. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if I had the money. Will you take credit? LOL

Geez, if that brings $40-45 I should have kept my 02 RT/10 with 8K miles that I sold a couple years ago... I would have made $10K on it. I would think if you can get $35K that would be a good price. I would start just under $40K, like $39,995 which gives you some room.

Peter, you have a beautiful very Viper that's very well kept. You *should* get a good price for it but in this economy it's a buyers' market. I say start 40-45K and go from there.

pick up pleasureable part time job for income. It sounds to me like it's worth more to you than selling value.

Watch the ebay trend now that GenV is finally revealed... since you might not be in a hurry??
Could be alot of cars for sale this year.
If you see prices on a down swing, dump it fast. If they look strong-n-steady hold on for a year or two.

Explaining Viper things to you
Or, that when 2 months after customer deliveries start on the G5 and there are inventories on lots that aren't selling, that the price would be holding steady of G2's.

Just a prediction that I made months ago at VA about how long the hype would last. Or not last. I could care less either way as I have a Viper.

To the OP, I think your price is a little high. Ask 40 - take 35 to 38 sounds more realistic. The low miles and awesome service records are worth a lot when picking one car over another, but not so much in the actual sale price.

Thanks! I am actually looking around for a part-time job so I can hopefully hold onto it. Keeping my fingers crossed that business begins to pick up again.

With your firefighter background, is it not a possibility to become a safety consultant for companies?
