I wonder what this dealer paid for this car...

2009 SSG ACR 2700 miles was FS private sale for $80,000 in FL. Autotrader. The ad has not been removed yet.

Same car now FS with 2725 miles in OH by a dealer for $89,900

Considering what other used '09 ACRs have been selling for with 1/2 and 1/3 mileage, along with what they have not been selling for, I would guess that $80,000 price was a good starting point for sale. Wonder how long that dealer will be sitting on it at $90k seeing as new '09s can be had for less.

Thoughts?

Not many new '09's left and the few still left are in less than desirable colors.
You're still going to pay close to 88-90K for a new '09, even with 20K off.
A private sale for that car at 80K was a great deal, guess you missed another one.

He probably gave the seller 80-82K for that one, looking to make 5-7K on it.

I called on that car when I was looking and the gentelman told me he had a deposit on it for his $80k asking price.

An '09 just sold for $73+. Mileage was I think in the 4000 range. This was probably just someone who had to get out, but deals are out there if your ready to pull the trigger when they show up

An '09 ACR?
That would be a ridiculously cheap price on an ACR.
But of course, you never really know the whole story or physical condition.

The car looked to be in great shape, it was a no reserve auction, so it sold. Like I said, if your ready to pull the trigger when these anomalies happen, jump on em!

And he will sit on it and he will sell it eventually. Just not to you.
Bottom feeders will never find a car cheap enough, because there is always a chance another will come along....tomorrow......and the day after....
They pass through here all the time on their way to a Vette.

I was checking out Autotrader and saw what I thought were two similar ACRs and thought what are the chances 2 of the 18 SSG black center band ACRs for sale at the same time?
When I checked the VINs is when I noticed they were the same car.

I agree he will sell it. I agree 80k was a good price for that car. I guess I will leave it at that.

Now on my way to find me a vette. :drive:

I found out that with the Viper I bought, I was driving it for almost a month before the original owner saw a penny. The dealership told me it was their car and had me come and test drive it. I already had the loan all set up, so just had to sign the paperwork. I found out who the previous owner was through posts on this forum and text messaged them about it ( this was 2 weeks after I already had it in my garage ) and he said it was 'pending a sale at a dealership'. So apparently the dealership just played middleman and tagged on their expenses to transfer it from him to me and an extended warranty.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was the case on this Viper.
