Today at Milan I had the opportunity to run several times and kind of hone in on the SRT likes and dislikes, and at the same time compare it to a Gen II RT/10 that was dynoed at the same facility/same day as my SRT. The RT/10 is not stock. Can't remember all the details but headers, cat back, VEC, K&N, Smooth tube. The dyno hp and torque numbers were very close. Mine max run was 441 hp and 471 lb-ft. Suffice to say the dyno numbers were so close it is best to call them even when comparing the maximums.
At the track today we averaged about the same mph and et. The biggest difference is the SRT did not need a 3-4 shift Where the RT/10 did. Mind you the conditions were far from optimal. Hot, humid, etc. My top run was 12.359 @ 117.81. His top run was also just about 118. Neither of us were power shifting. I do not have his time slip so do not have specifics. Everybody running street tires was running between 2.0 and 2.2 60 ft times, with most very consistent in the 2.1-2.2 range.
Stock Gen I's seemed to be running around 108-109 mph and stock Gen II's around 112-114. I am sure there are exceptions as this was just a general observation. Obviously a slow day at a track known for low numbers.
So the bottom line is in the 1/4 mile it performed about as expected in comparison to other known cars, but far from the 11.7/123 stated above. I do believe gearing would help immensely, but would add an additional shift, which may negate the benefit (on the strip).
I will post details of the runs in the future (I measured most runs with the G Tech Comp so have additional data to indicate best launch speed, shift points, etc.)
