I\'m Trying To Choose Bet. Borla & Eldebrock Headers...

When the new 3" Corsa system comes out I want to change my exhaust system and add headers that are smog legal in CA. Borla and Eldebrock are my only choices does anyone know the pros and cons of the Borla vs. Eldebrock for my 98 GTS?

I am planning on the exact same improvements. The Edelbrocks are more expensive, are ceramic coated and apparently require some welding for installation. I don't know about performance or sound differences. I was planning on going with the Borlas but probably getting them ceramic coated. I too would be interested in the performance/sound differences.

I have the belanger headers and cat back sytem, all from Tom Welch, of BTR Viper in florida. What a great setup. Sounds are incredible, It definitely gained horsepower and torque. The install was done by my race team mate and he said the install was very easy compared to others he has done. The only thing I did do that required welding as i left the cats in for smog and decided to flanged the cat ends so I could easily remove them if I wanted. Other than that it requires no welding and uses all existing hangers. It is a great sounding setup plus BTR guarantees a 50 HP gain...
