Read something about this on the board a couple of months ago. The conclusion from that was that they had serious trouble, can't remeber why...

There have been several Vipers sold out of the Great White North that had been used in filming the Viper TV show. These cars were special-builts that had not met crash or emmisions. The show producers promised to destroy them after the show was over, yet *somehow* several made it into the market place.

I recall one fellow trying to get his freshly bought emerald green RT/10 from BC into Washington. The VIN number came back bogus, and the troopers wouldn't let him register it.

Not sure what the eventual outcome was, but it didn't look very pretty.

The moral of the story is: check the VIN number with Dodge. If the car is extraordinarily cheap, there is a reason.

That said, I have a friend who found a 1960 T-bird in great shape on Vancouver Island. For cheap. Import was very easy and straightforward. The highway patrol was very helpfull and walked him through the process.
