we've over 12,500 posts on our UK club website, can these forums cant be linked?

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?f=76&h=0

Don't think they can be directly linked (one post goes to another), but possibly could import them to this forum if there was an interest. Could chat with our programmer if there is a serious interest in doing so. Don't feel compelled to use this forum if you don't want to - we figure most of the regions don't have a regional site yet.

I dont understand exactly why the UK side of the VCA decided to use PistonHeads.com :: Speed Matters ? You already had a UK website? Can anyone tell me why? Also how come Other UK members, dont seem to post anything on Here? I would have thought that this was the place to advertise UK club events etc? :dunno: I just find it strange

its pretty simple Mark, out of all the UK PH guys only about 12 are regular VCA paid members and are entitled to post here, out of that 12 there's a few that only post occassionally. YOU NEED TO BE A VCA MEMBER TO POST HERE so less than 10 would be in this forum, non- vca UK guys wouldnt have a clue whats going on. it would be very boring just reading posts by 9 other guys.

the UK forum was setup years ago on PH before these regional VCA were around, most like the fact that other owner marques can drop by and post in the PH viper forum

If you notice the other vca regional forums are pretty much empty, the same thing is going on there, they have their own club forums already

Actually, most of the regions do not have a forum on their regional website. I think it's more that the regional communication about events and such happens via email. We have a forum on the VA/MD website, and it's very very quiet, but for the most part so is the regional forum here. They just don't get used that often by most regions.

Thanks for the replys :)

Neil the other web site I ment was ViperClub UK

So one way or another we have 3 sites!!!!

As for the non VCA members, they need a kick up the A--SE :buttkick:

Our UK PRESIDENT, Oh' and VICE PRESIDENT should be encouraging them to Join up :)

Being as you and Baz have been involved for a long time with the club, any idea why they chose Not to Join? Surley its worth the membership for discounts on parts etc :dunno:

Ps: Hello Juli, Hello Kcobean :yay:

some came and went, in the early VCA days fees were $100 and went to the USA there's wasnt a good service to the UK which put people off, stuff was always late or simply didnt didnt arrive at all, ask Tom :) bit like now we paid our VCA membership in early december its now feb, still no membership cards or any update on when they will be sent thats been the same for the last ten years...

as for the venom discounts they are a more recent thing, even so you dont need to be in the VCA to get a discount

Baz is pretty much a newbie :)

I used to write to every Viper owner in the UK each year and encourage them to join the VCA 50-60 letters at my expense and my time and each year we still had the same people renew year after year.

Did at times get my back up when some of the rest came to evenets that we organised yet had little interest in putting even half a tank of gas in the VCA ***, but thats parts of our group most of us are the most tollerant people I have met, some try to rock the boat but overall she is a stable boat full of some of the nicest people I have ever met.

And this year I have been a member for 10 years.
