Well I wasn't planning on this today...and today was our Viper Club Banquet, so everyone got to see it. I was sooo torn (with or without stripes), but I just love the color. Never thought I would buy an 08...much less one without stripes. I think it really looks fantastic without the stripes.

Pictures are bad...will add some tomorrow.

Dude;

I still can't believe your wife let you buy it! Ha! Ha! But then again she gets the "hand-me-down" Copperhead vert, so she can't be complaining too, too much. Love the color though! It looked like it was on fire in the dimly lite parking garage last night at the banquet.

My wife was extremely impressed, and when I went to open my mouth she said, one simple word. "No". How can a word with such a simple meaning and only two letters have such an impact.

Anyway congratulations! Now I have to pony up the Paxton on my 06 GTS Blue with S/S Coupe just to keep up. BTW she said "no" to that little comment last night too. Ha! ha!

I didn't think I would like green but that is awesome! And it looks great with the copper. Two very unique Vipers. Those are the biggest corner posts I've seen on a lift; what brand is it?

Congrats CarDude! I was wondering when a SSG car would make it to Colorado. I hope I get to see it some time this summer.

Nice looking rides....

Where did you get your lift from? I like the looks of it and I am thinking of getting one myself. Any info would be appreciated.

Wow, two awesome looking cars. I've seen a Copperhead up close, and it looks amazing in person. I can't wait to see a SSG.

Thanks for all the compliments. I got my lift used so I am not even sure who it is from. I 'll have to look at the manufacturer on the side of one of the post. It is about as beefy a lift as you can get, and I only paid $2500 installed. I just didn't want to get one of those foreign jobs that were flimsy. This one has such large posts I think it could hold a Semi...hahaha

Update on the car. I went to the dealer last night to turn in my trades and resign paperwork with my wife so she would be on the paperwork as well...and the dealer started to jack with me. I promptly told him to come and get his car...and we refused to give him our trades. Luckily, I should have bought my vehicle from Burt Dodge anyway, as I have purchased two cars from them just last year. Burt Dodge in Parker have been stellar...they even gavce abunch of raffle prizes at the banquet Saturday night. I should have never purchased at the other place. So I looks like I will be getting a new SSG, but this time with stripes. I am sure the other dealer will be calling me today...but they have really pissed my off. I drove the car back to the dealer last night, even though they really wanted me to keep it...I said you can come get it. They didn't want anyone else to drive it...guess they think I will still feel like it is mine if no one else drives it. I love the car...but I really should have bought from Burt anyway. So, looks like I will be getting a better deal...so it is all good, I just need to wait a few more weeks. Oh well I can't drive it anyway because of the roads...:(

It's unfortunate to hear of your situation. At that price point (especially at a Dodge dealer) they shouldn't try to screw you over. Same thing happened to my good friend that bought a Z06 4 months ago, but the owner of the dealership came down and took off even more cash and powdercoated his wheels to rectify the situation, and deal with inadequately trained sales people. In a way, I do envy you, you get two new Vipers within a matter of a few weeks! :D

Very sorry to hear about this development; if it's any consolation the green coupes look amazing with black stripes.

Dude;

I thought that was too good to be true. When I saw the little "****' sticker on there for $20K over MSRP (for a base coupe with SSG paint and razor wheels only), I kind of had an feeling of the way things might go on the trade-ins. I know you did not pay much over MRSP, but if a dealership is going to do the "mark-up" thing, it really just tells you what kind of dealership it is. Like Jonny Dangerously, I did that "Once". "Once"!

Personally I have been blown away in a very good way with Burt Dodge in Parker, CO and would ONLY recommend them in Colorado. Extremely honest and fair. Never thought I would say that about a dealer here in CO.

Hey on the bright side, you can now order that SSG ACR.

PS I should have took the 08' hood off for my 06' before you drove it back. You could have just told them it blew off. Ha! Ha!

CarDude,
Could you PM me the name of the dealer with the car you just gave back? I won't do any business with them, but I would love to see the car in person. Thanks in advance!

Sorry to hear about that Cardude. But hopefully it works out for the best. I never understand dealerships that like to jack customers around. And it was especially stupid in this case. I think something should have told them, that if you are buying a VIPER and already own a viper chances are you may be purchasing other dodge vehicles in the future, so maybe we shouldn't jack this customer around so they will come back and buy from them again.

What color stripes are you going with?
