Just ran 11.28 @ 123.9. The weather isn't ideal at all 70 degrees in ga today. Going to make one more pass I'll post later. 60 ft was only 1.81. There is def room for improvement.

Nice run!

Are you up at Atlanta Dragway? I know you have a hard top for yours, but I know they're sticklers for the safety regs there. Do you have any other safety euip and are they pretty much leaving you alone until you break into the 10's?

Way to go buddy. I'll be pissed if you beat me to the 10's. LOL. You are low 11.20's or better with a good 60 and that is before a DA adjustment.

My next run was 11.26 @ 123.2. I shifted into 4th too early killing my trap speed. My 60 ft time on this run was 1.73. The DA at Silver raceway in Ga was 1333 at the time of my run. 10's are possible on a perfect day for Bolt on Gen 3's. Three runs total for the day 11.50, 11.28, and 11.26. Ill post a video of the run a little later.

Nice run!!
Thank you Keik.

Dang! Nice run Dion :2tu:
Thanks a lot Chip. You are no slouch yourself. I've seen you at the strip.

Nope, not at atlanta to dragway today. They are very strict. I ran 11.4 a few weeks ago there. They let me slide without a roll bar, but made me put a fire jacket on. I went to Reynolds Ga today. The offer is still good if you need to use my hardtop in order to run.

LOL It is possible buddy. One of us can do it. There was another Gen 3 at the track running very well. 20 inch rims and Invo's. He ran 11.7 with only exhaust and cats being modified.

Never run mine, but I know with the Mopar controller and race exhaust, my 2003 is very fast on the street. Good lookin' out for us Gen 3 guys! Great numbers!

Wow...what a chain of events..I remember years ago when Jamie Furman said that he couldnt do better than a low 12 at 120 in a stock srt10 but was able to run 11.62 at 121 in a stock GTS acr. from that moment many just wrote the srt10 off as just a better road racing car but not a faster car..

Interestingly enough I had a 99 rt10 that I made about 75 passes in...Then I got a srt10..The first 10-15 passes I would have agreed with Jamie that the gen2's were faster than the gen3's. But then I realized I was trying to drag my gen 3 the same way I dragged my gen 2...After a bit of studying and changeing up my approach I was able to run better times in my srt10 with just intake and roller rockers then I ran in my gen2 with roller rockers/smooth tubes/intake/no cats/AEM tune...

I never did better than a 12.1 at 121 in my gen2 with those mods after 75 passes. But in the gen3 with just the two mods I was able to run 11.9 at 122 mph.

I always questioned jamie after my own personal testing showed completely differant results and that the srt's were in fact a bit quicker..

Dragon rider and Speedfreak have now erased all doubt on the capabilities of the gen3..

It has been a thrilling ride for a viper nut like myself..

Feb 2009 Speedfreak shows the world a stock gen3 can do 11.69 at 120.82 mph

Mar 2009 Speedfreak raises the bar with a stock time of 11.57 at 122.41 mph

May 2009 Dragon rider with a few bolt ons runs a 11.66 at 120.74 mph

Feb 2010 Dragon rider shows a potent bolt on time of 11.40 at 123.04 mph

Oct 2010 Speedfreak adds a few bolt ons and runs a 11.47 at 124.08 mph

late Oct 2010 Speedfreak surprises everyone with a 11.36 at 124.3 mph

Nov 2010 Dragon rider shows he still has more left and runs a 11.26 at 123.2 mph

Thanks you two.....And a shout out for 1BADGTS as well for motivation

Thanks for the offer Dion.
I keep checking around to see if I can find a used hard-top in the classifieds and on ebay. I just can't bring myself to pay that much for a new one when I probably won't put the car on the track that often.

Yeah, and the other big news is that Dragonrider ran a 1.73 60 foot time which beats my 1.74 and adds more strength to the argument that a 1.70 or perhaps better is possible. With that kind of short time and some negative DA a 10 is going to happen, period. Moreover, Malu and his 10 second stock Gen IV pass has shown us that the DA calculations and correction factors are for real and that if you can drive the car in the good weather the way you do when its hot the number will come. This is all the b.s. that 1sadgts said could never happen even though several of us where showing what a street tire could do. I suspect that adjusted for DA that dragonriders latest passes are very close or are a 10 second run.

I have a little less weight and a bit more power than dragonrider so I am confident that a 127 trap is very realistic and maybe 128. My car has picked up 3 mph with a good cool down at the track and while heating the tire becomes really important after a cool down I do believe it can be compensated for as that is what I did on my 11.36. I would really like to see what Malu can do on another good weather day with killer cool down and icing of the manifold and two or three burn outs to heat the tire instead of hot lapping. I think a 10.7X is possible at 132. We will see but it is all exciting stuff and the naysayers will become fewer and fewer.

ea that 11.28 at 123.9 is really impressive..Especially considering the 1300 Density altitude..

In a negatice 1000 DA that would have been a 11.08 at 126.0 pass...Negative 1500 and I think the 10.99 at 127 is possible...

The thing with the trapp speeds is that when you guys are pushing these 1.7 60 foots you are of course giving up a few mph...Dragon rider probally could be trapping 124-126 mph in that 1300 DA off a 2.0 60 foot...Meaning he could probally be in the 126-128 range with a 2.0 60 foot in that negative 1000 da..

Your car has just a lil more power and has been consistently .5 mph faster...

I really think one of you will hit a 10.99 before you even get to a negative DA...One of you will land that magic short time of 1.67 coupled with a 124.5 mph and lightning fast shift and BAM!!!!!!!!

The funniest thing is imagine if both of you knew back then what you know now..I really think you could get a stocker to a 11.4

Thanks guys for all of the kind words. They are much appreciated.
Way to go Dion!!! I was proud of my 11.49 but now I have some work to do!
Thanks. Your 11.49 is smokin. Your haven't track yours as much as I have mine so hopefully you can make a 10'sec pass. Hope to see you at the mopar nationals in Ohio again next year.

Thanks for the offer Dion.

No problem. It's hear if you need it.

Speed Freak and Twister you guys are so right. The right weather combined with the right track prep, 10's are possible. They key is the 1.6 60 ft. With a well prepared track it can be done. The ball is in your court now Konza and Speed Freak. Let's make this 10'sec gen 3 pass happen. Spead Freak it would only be fitting that you did it first. Your fast stock times started this whole thing now you have got to finish it. Typing on the phone *****

Not sure what calculator you used for the DA but I get 11.08 corrected to standard and 10.95 with -1000 negative DA. So he is knocking at the door.

Believe me I am trying. Have to get this clutch crap sorted out fast. I know a killer day is waiting around the corner in December and wouldn't it be a great christmas present to have several of us hit the number in December.
