--------------------------------------------------------------------------------FYI
I am no longer the Carolinas Region President - after 5 years I did not run again so that the club would have a chance to grow in a direction of it's own.
And officer or not, I have just as much right to an opinion as other Viper owners. Sometimes it may not be popular, but it's mine. And as far as being an ambassador for the Viper, I'd be willing to guess, of all the folks I have helped - Gen I, II, and III, they'd all say I was a pretty good one.
OK, maybe I was short.
I worry about the future of the car when we're putting items into it so that one can watch movies or play games.
I worry about the future of the car when I see so few being tracked (Kai and Steve excluded, or course)
I worry about the future of the car when there are complaints about the "ride" and folks asking for things like cruise control...
I want this to be a driver's car, not a rolling video game.

ViperD, I wonder if I could convince her to post on Viper Alley?? I truly
believe she deserves a verbal bashing, VIPER ALLEY STYLE!!!!!!!!!
QUOTE:
Actually, she posts there pretty regularly and you will find that the vast majority over there agree with her 100%. In other words, that is one fight I might respectfully suggest you not pick.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Thanks Alice, I will post some more pictures soon. BTW, I drove 146 miles yesterday, going back and fourth on beach blvd {HW90} between BILOXI and GULFPORT 20 miles of beaches
and casinos....Nothing but great comments on the the car...First you hear : LOOK.... IT'S A VIPERRRR ,followed by : check out that killer dash. And finally you hear : OH MY GOD...IT'S SUPERCHARGED.....
We all know that buying a Viper is like buying a diamond, starts out great and in the right setting gets even better...
Mike:
You might want to ask Daniel Lesser (FinalGTS) if he has any of those stainless steel allen bolt sets for the dash. The black screws get chipped, and with the MGW parts, the stainless screws look very nice. A very inexpensive dress up item.

I would also add that while her reply was indeed a bit harsh (tsk tsk), that she is more "viper-centric" than most of us put together. No doubt she has owned more Vipers than many of us, and driven them harder than almost all of us - combined. She just happens to be on the extreme end of the race 'em vs. cruise 'em sliding scale. Thus her very understandable reason for selling off her SRT-10, never to look back. The SRT-10 is built more as a "cruise missle" rather than a race car. The convertible-only and fake roll hoops sealed that.
To each his own when it comes to their Vipers. Custom 20" wheels, DVD players, navigation, and chrome galore: It's your car to enjoy as you wish. Hell, I had a nice chat with the owner of this SRT-10 - as he sat in the tattoo parlor with his latest artwork being inked on his back.

By the way, he said that when you came down from doing 120 mph those spinners would go for HOURS! And yes, I am totally serious and no, I didn't diss the guy in the slightest. It's his car to play with any way he likes. Just not my style...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dmitry:
I believe Chris was illustrating that there are numerous ways to approach an SRT-10 and the spinners was an illustration as to one extreme.
Did Mike mention whether he had either Sirius or XM?
BTW: The DVD screen is not solely for watching DVDs; perhaps he will discuss that part further.
