These SRT Remotes are a Joke. The distance/range *****, Has anyone tried any "aftermarket" remotes? Do any work with the OEM alarm unit?

Unfortunately, you'll have to stick with the OE remotes. You can usually find them a little less expensive on Ebay. Also consider yourself lucky that Viper keys don't have built in transponders.

I don't know if folks were aware of it, but there are a rather limited number of OEM codes for the remote. Next time you are at a Viper gathering, click your remote. Chances are, it will open the doors on a couple of the cars around you besides your own.

I found this out by accident. I was at a race, clicked my remote, and walked over to the red SRT-10 that flashed it's lights when I clicked the remote. I opened the trunk to get my helmet, and was very surprised that someone had not only stolen all my stuff, but had replaced it with other stuff. It took me longer than I would like to admit before I figured out that it was not my car.
