hi helpers, thanks for reading.

i got my new 01 blue RT/10 a few days ago. i had my last viper 5 years ago so its kind of new again.

here i have two first questions:

- mostly at cusing speed, i can notice some play in the drive train. sounds like from the back... i remember my past viper doing something similar, just wondering if its normal...

- the steering wheel is not straight, the wheel's are perfectly aligned. i have had them checked. where is the best place to adjust it? i dont want to mess with the alignment since its good. i found a screw, just above the first u-joint. would that be a good place to adjust the steering wheel?

thanks for any help, patrick / switzerland

1. "clunk" in the drivetrain seems to be pretty common. My car will clunk when transitioning between on and off throttle.

No input on the steering wheel thing, sorry.

Hi Patrick,

The clunk is more pronounced lower RPM and higher gear, say 6th gear at 70mph, then light on and off the throttle, clunk, clunk. Normal

To center your wheel, you'll need to adjust your front tie-rods. Example: If your wheel is off to the right, then you'll need to lengthed the left tie-rod and shorten the right tie-rod EVENLY. Mark the tie-rods with a chalk/paint line and make half turn adjustments ONLY! :drive:

Cheers
