Is anyone running Kooks headers or side exhaust? I'm looking for more of a higher pitched sound and from the Kooks website their pipes sound great (to me).
Thanks

I have them and I would say they are a little higher pitched than the bellangerm&m headers. either way it's much deeper than the stock manifolds.

have fun installing them, if you are planning on upgrading your engine mounts you'll want to do them when you are doing the headers.

I had them and ended up taking them off and selling them (huge loss of course). It was too loud (drone) for me. This was with the hi-flo cats and 08 up mufflers on my 05. Installation is very difficult with the one-piece headers. I had two different "Viper Techs" from two different dealerships in Houston that expressed frustration in different ways that included damage to my Viper because of their inability to install them. The engine does need to be lifted. Nonetheless, I do think it's a good product. I was going to get them re-installed but I did find a buyer who had his own shop. I will try again in the future with a set of Vortex cones that will hopefully attenuate the drone. It's not too loud with the crossovers but a good side benefit of this mod is to lose the heat retention that crossovers cause.

I have B&B headers already and was just looking for a higher tone side exhaust. Any other suggestions besides the 'usual suspects'?

Thanks for the replies.

Every exhaust system is going to drone with these headers except for the Corsa. I tried them all, tried the inserts and even built my own. The only one that does not drone is the Corsa Track.

The Kooks headers are very nice, but difficult to install. I also recomend you have them ceramic coated...otherwise things will begin to melt.

Switching from the B&B headers to the kooks is not worth it IMO.

What exhaust are you running?

I don't know, but am in Knoxville also -- are you going to Cars and Coffee tomorrow at Knoxville Performance ? I need to consider headers for my 08. Perhaps we could investigate a multi-car-mod-discount somewhere close by? :2tu::drive:

Put Belanger headers on my 08. Picked up 50 rwhp. Great sound.

Thanks for all the input but I already have headers. I'm looking for mufflers that have a higher pitch sound. Does anyone have Kooks mufflers (side exhaust)?
