Congrats Gen V owners, what an awesome machine! I remember reading a member's post earlier this month about picking up a brand new '13 Track Pack car for $95k. I recently spoke with the dealer in Ohio with a used 2013 for $88,900. Has anyone heard of any Gen 5 for less than this? I wonder if prices will strengthen in the Spring with the weather bringing out more buyers or if they will remain soft due to increased inventory?
Thanks, John

No, the board decided to take a 'wait and see' approach for now... I wish everyone luck and a great year of enjoying their Viper....

To answer your question........ I'd say IMO $89,000 MAY be a deal if the car has a perfect ownership history along with low miles.

I would be concerned why someone dumped their Viper so quickly. If there are no issues, that is an excellent price.

from what I've read about the older generations and being low mileage cars, this is a thing of the past. The Gen 5 rides good and I can see myself putting many miles on mine. It's got almost 800 miles on it in a month and I don't daily drive mine or take it out in the rain( this is without any road trips, which are to come). I find myself turning the radio off just to listen to the exhaust.

My point is these cars will have more miles on them than in the past.

I don't think the price will drop much more that what they have. The used one in Ohio for 89K was a deal but do wonder how it was treated.

I have noticed Gen 4 prices rising as of late , I am thinking the Gen 5 slide is nearing the end. If you are looking to buy either, do it now or it will cost you more!

2013 Launch Edition...1300 miles....$117,000.....1 owner. Car is at dealer in GA.

You can buy a brand new LE in in Huntington Beach for $119,000 or a GTS w/track pkg for $118,000. I've seen a lot of GTS discounted 21-24K, and I expect that will continue, as you will be buying (technically) a year old model in 2014. With the release of the Z06 preview in a couple of weeks it could have an impact on the 2013's as well.

I paid MSRP and still have no regrets. I wouldn't necessarily go bargain shopping on a $100K+ vehicle. Some of the lower priced cars are the demo cars that magazines and dealerships had. The GTS cars have lost most of their value, due to the expensive options they came with. SRT cars are holding better value, as we expected. Winter is always the best time to buy a sports car. In the spring, all makes/models go up in demand/price.

There's a new black GTS with 18spk option for 103k internet price in Nor Cal. I see you're in Fl. however. I like bootsaves 99k much better though. These cars are not demos!

Boots, yours was the red one, right? I believe I spoke w/ the dealer the day you put deposit on. It just had a few hundred miles, right? Wow, a black GTS with speaker option NEW (no miles???) for $103k? That must be a $126-127k sticker, right? By the way, this thread was not intended to cause buyer's remorse to MSRP cars - you guys should have no regrets. Awesome cars at any price...

I just went out to look at the aforementioned Viper, and it is on the dealers showroom with 9 miles on it. It looks immaculate aside from the dust on it, and a dead battery, no test rides. I sat i it, checked the interior fit n finish, & examined the paint. All good!!! You can probably get it for a grand or two less, to make up for shipping. The sticker is 125,990 (no indoor cover).

They also had a 2014 AR GTS with white stripes, 134,080 with 9k off not counting e-price which will probably be another 1k off.

Both cars had the Venom wheels.

Says the guy that bought a new Porsche 911 Turbo S, which typically lose about $50,000-60,000 in less than 2 years. I guess that makes you the expert in depreciation :)

The same Porsche that loses to the Viper on the road course, I might add. But that doesn't matter to him, he considers his Porsche a drag car, a one-trick pony.
