No email went out... I'm inputting the so cal bunch. Maybe the map needs to go out on the main forum so it gets more exposure.

Kala,

Does that mean you've already added those of us who are So Cal members but live in Las Vegas?

The speedway has a roadcourse inside and the premier drag strip across the street. No shortage of hotels or resturants. Weather is perfect and plenty of attractions. Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned. In fact, many that visit end up relocating to the area.

Let's try someplace new. Done with Vegas.....I spun out on the first turn on the road course on both Vegas VIOs....with different vipers....lol. Pass on Nashville...I wonder if those Texas guys who got picked up doing 125 in a 25 on Natchez Trace trail are still around after the Feds got though with them... and the speed trap on the off ramp near the Grand Hotel....just to pick up vipers because they knew we were there. Or Detroit where you were advised not to walk between the two downtown casinos. After being at 10 of these things, lets pick another part of the country....just my 2 cents. My only repeat choice would be Monterrey/VOI 2

Beautiful, scenic, green, NH! New Hampshire Motor Speedway is here and it's not too hot or too cold in summer. The roads are beautiful and we have the Lakes Region, the Great North Woods and the White Mountains to tour. Of course, I am being completely impartial. We are due for an East Coast VOI. Here's a sample from yesterday's run to the Harpoon Brewery...

Oh, did I mention no sales tax!

Charlotte would be a great location. I might just have to take the round about way that takes me through the the Dragon and all mountain roads. Hell, I could have as much getting there as I do at the actual event! :)

What's the latest here? People be needing to make choices schedules and plans :)

I think all the owners and the club should make (another) exception for you and post all the details before we even have a new car out. And why not grant yet another exception and hold VOI-12 in The Netherlands for your convenience?

Detroit x 2
Vegas x 2
Monterrey
Indy
Orlando
St Louis
Nashville
Dallas
Salt Lake

It is about time that a Single-Flight-To-Destination, with nice track facilities nearby, with a great Viper population, finally step up and be recognized. Of course I am talking about:

C
H
I
C
A
G
O

Chicago has some of the WORST ROADS in the country. Im talking massive potholes that would destroy any lowered Viper. Not to mention its a high crime area (in case you havent seen the news lately). if you are looking somewhere central why not Texas???

If you are looking at a truly central location I agree Texas makes a lot of sense. I think though to balance out the locations we need to have another truly west coast event (actually a couple) which if you look at history we have had periods of multiple east coast events (VOI 3 & 4 and VOI 6 & 7). But I'm not biased :D

So why does there have to be only 1 event???? Why not several,,, west, east and central..... just a thought... other clubs/orginizations hold 1 main event with regional events as well, works well for them.

I like the Charlotte idea but Birmingham is nice too. New Hampshire would be nice in the fall. No on Chicago, Indianapolis, Orlando, Texas, and DETROIT. But if the West Coast - East Coast is too big a deal, why not have one every year and rotate between coasts? Yes the event might be smaller but it might actually draw more folks than every other year.

I agree on your "no's" except Texas, although if I had more information about the area in Texas I may change my mind. As for the east coast being an issue for the west coast folks, while I can't speak for everyone, for myself it doesn't matter where it is held next year I will be there with my Viper. If it is in Maine, I will drive my Viper there, I don't care. Looking at the VOI location map it is leaning to having a fair amount more events on the eastern half of the country which is one main reason why I am pushing for a west coast event, and of course there are a lot of advantages for me if its on the west coast.

Chicago, Detroit, Indy, are all great with me!!!!

Chicago roads aren't all that bad, Detroit has more crime IMO, and Indy is Indy!

Texas, I cant fit in my car with a cowboy hat on so that would never work. Detroit was done it was a great time, and we all got out of there without being robed or stabbed :) . SLC was great but the venue was less than stimulating outside of the VOI experience. Indy, I kinda agree with Jon B on that one. Vegas kicks ***, but has also been done twice. Nashville, really?? Been done as well...

Daytona, I like it, its time to head East. Chicago, hard to find a negative. Phoenix, okay, why not? Maybe the North East deserves some serious consideration, speak up NY!!

I will cast another vote to Detroit. If Chrysler has been having a tuff time, and were still on the fence somewhat about bringing the Viper back, save the cash and keep the cars in Detroit. A hell of a lot less transportation/lodging costs for Chrysler to pay out, in turn keeps the Viper around that much longer!

Yes I know Detroit is only 3 hours from me, and yes I will take the GEN 5 for free just for having great ideas.

Chrysler isn't footing the bill for this anymore, the VCA is.
Dodge did sponsor an evening in SLC and I'm sure they did help out a bunch but I don't think that being easy on Chrysler's pocket book should be a huge consideration.

So... send the Gen5 on over to my house :)

Detroit, Chicago, any other large city here in the US is a waste of time. Large City is a large City, see them all over with work and not the least bit interested to see them on my vacation too. Said it at VOI10 and still have zero desire to Detroit it!

Some of the smaller market City's like was the case at VOI11 in SLC provide the best avenue and best bang for the buck IMHO. Austin or San Antonio mentioned would be great and have my vote. Smaller market up in the North East would be okay too.

Detroit sucked ass. Specifically the roads, they are so bad, my alignment got knock out of whack twice. Area is so run down, you just aren't sure if you will make it out alive, and if you do, there is a sigh of relief.

I say Daytona, FL!!!!
