I was wondering about the strut for the RT trunk lid. Who has installed it? Will it work with the additional weight of rear spoiler? Where is best place to purchase?

I was thinking the same thing, and is there a difference between kits for Gen 1 and 2?

Kit is same for both Gen I and Gen II.

Some have put strut on both sides for cars with a wing.

Jon B has these at Parts Rack.

1 kit is a nice assist and will hold the trunk+spoiler up.

2 kits makes it weightless $89/1 $160/2

www.partsrack.com and enter strut in keyword box

I have had mine installed for about 3 years, WITH Mopar Spoiler. Lift trunk normally till it gets past the "balance" point, and that's it; it completes the lift and holds the trunk up. You can take off the trunk prop bar.
