Light corrosion on tank cap

The GTS caps are clear coated..so you may want to think twice about putting anything abrasive on it. Chances are the corrosion is under the clear. It may be covered the corrosion part of your warranty. If not, they're really expensive (around $700) get an MGW cap. I suppose that it could be removed, have the clear coat removed, then polish.

You can do it ONCE with MGW....and it looks MUCH better!!!!!!

You could also have it clear powder coated, if you want to repair it. You would have to disassemble it completely including the roller and pin. The problem is dissimilar metal corrosion. When aluminum and steel are in electrical contact you get a voltage transfer between the two metals that causes the corrosion.
