for that money you could've gotten a used m5. much nicer "family" car compared to the gto. ofcourse to each his own i guess..

Chevy smallblock is the cheapest way to get hp. So many parts manufacturers compete on heads, cams, intakes, exhausts, that the price comes way down.

I think you could go buy a complete high output FI engine from an engine builder for less than you could have one serious mod done to a Viper.

I wouldn't want a GTO right now but I'm betting he can make it run real fast for very little.

Alex- Since I work for a GM dealership, I bought the GTO for around 27k, I'd have to buy a veeeeeeeeeeeery old M5 for that.

Matt- I tried to call the dyno today, they are closed on Mondays. I suppose they take credit cards, they do all kinds of work out there.

I won't be able to cut out of work for too long and it's gonna take 30 mins each way. How busy d'ya think this guy will be? I can't get away with spending a couple of hours on this.
