If you want collectable... get a '97 Blue and white convertible. Good luck finding one. Or get a '98 GT/2.
Thanks, I have not ruled out a Steel Gray onebut would rather have the ABS if I can. The Steel Gray w/stripes was the car that made me fall in love with Vipers. I saw on in Wildwood at the Hot Rod weekend and said I want one. Believe me, if the right SG one comes along I will jump on it.Hi
Who cares about some guy that wrote a book call Buyers Guide( I know the book) saying that the 2000 is the lowest for collectability buy a Viper for yourself what you want, any Viper is a Viper it doesn't matter.
Mine is 1 of 99 only I think that is pretty low number,, also I don't know why they would rate the 2000 as the lowest one could argue that the 94's highest production year should be lower.
It will never end, this year is better then that year, red is the fastest.. AHAHAH. If your worried about collectablity get a 1998 GTS-R, or a 99 ACR, etc
Qoute
What are everybodies thought on the 2000. I was told to stay away since it has no ABS and no forged bottom end.
Not directed at anyone, but here is what I think....
Want a collectable, listen to the book. Maurice knows vipers.... He one of the main guys who started the VCA.
Here you go....
1. 1998 GT/2
Here are some great vipers to have long term... (no particular order)
'97 Blue and White Convertible (harder to find than a 98 GT/2) Only RT/10 with full dual factory GTS stripes.... AND IT's VIPER BLUE.
'99 ACR (or any ACR for that matter)
'96 /'97 Blue and White GTS (Not hard to find yet, but will also be a good one to have)
'02 FE (Still low miles car to be had, but they will dry up soon)
'92 RT/10 (Mostly hand built custom vipers with serial # hoods, custom 2 piece exhaust manifolds & other cool one off parts)

The FE kind of surprises me since they made over 300 of them.
Any of you guys with low mile Graphite GTS's w/stripes and < 10k on them ready to sell me your car yet? I hear there are some great deals on new coupes, you could probably find a real nice Crystal Slate Coupe at great prices.
Actually, I am tempted to go with the CS Gen III Coupe after hearing some of the absurd prices some of the non supporting dealers are asking for the nice genII's. Actually not much difference although I suspect they will be sitting on them for a long time with prices in the 60's and 70's. They are not there yet, maybe in a few years. Hopefully next year right after I find mine.

Whats the problem? You have found your car.... Its at BJ Motors.. Bernie has a great reputation. And I can tell you, that car looks brand new. He is less than 200 miles from you. All you have to do now is buy it...
If you think your going to find a low mile Graphite car, for much less $$. You may want to stop your Viper search now.. not going to happen..

if you like graphite, visit a saphire in person. photos dont do the color any justice.
Agent, I was just looking at the Woodhouse site, Pemberton has a Slate Grey silver stripe 06 left. Good God man, I think they only made like 30 of them. Take it from me, I own one of each you won't be sorry if you get a Gen 3. Probably get excellent financing on it too, unlike a used car. Tell Bill we all support your quest to be done with the bow tie and he needs to help you out!
