For those of you who have owned more than just a Viper for a sports car, which car/car seat would you say is the most comfortable, and what generation?

I haven't had an opportunity to sit in a Gen 2 Viper seat for any large amount of time, so I cannot comment on how comfortable they really are. I have however taken multi-hour trips on my Z06 which has the most comfortable seats of just about any car I have ever been in, sports car or not. They are so comfortable, I was wondering if people have installed seats from another car into theirs (with the right brackets) or if that just won't work most of the time?

Gen II seats are more comfortable than Gen I's IMO, but my C5 seats were the best. Not sure if the Gen I/II seats are interchangeable.

Most comfortable = BMW M3 manual seats, although probably much debate
Least comfortable = Viper. Not much debate.

I find that the seats in my '96 RT/10 are very comfortable. I've recently picked up a set of Recaro SRD seats for my daily driver and they are a very comfortable, supportive reclining bucket.

Love the seats in SRT-10. Seats in gts also very comfortable. Hated seats in Corvette. While they were cushy, the had a terrible flex in the back which acted like a rocking chair. Very comfortable for cruising, but horrible for stable possitioning when racing.

I honestly thought my friends seats in his 00' ACR were very comfortable.

Most comfortable sport car seats I've been in, my mom's friends modified Ruf 996 Turbo, those seats are the best I've sat in, very comfortable and will grip you like superglue.

I think Gen II GTS and ACR Vipers have awsome seats, the Viper, Z06 and Porsche have seats that will grip you but are more comfortable then a lot of luxury cars IMO. The seats in the Ruf are top notch.

If teh ZO6 seats are so comfortable, why do the drivers always look so uncomfortable when I'm next to them at a light?

It wasn't in a sports car but the most comfortable seat I've been in lately was behind the wheel of a Volvo S80. Incredible seats.

The ZR1 has the most comfortable seats of my lot, believe it or not...but I find them all to be pretty good. All very supportive.

The '69 has Recaro race buckets - should be interesting.

BMW 745i... Not a sports car (but it does have 325 horses).

Seats are unreal. 20 way adjustment. Massaging, cooling & heated. Headrests contour to your head. Well bolstered for spirited driving.

Only negative ... takes 30 minutes to find that ideal position -- thank God for memory seats.

No complaints on 02 RT/10 seats.

Agreed! The 745's seats are awesome! I think the ZO6 seats are horrible! The sport seats in a regular C-5 are very comfy! They offer a lot more support than the ZO6. It seems like that would be the other way around.

The 745i seats are the best BMW has ever made (the air conditioned center console got 2 thumbs up, it kept my M+M's frozen on a 1000 mile jaunt). But the best luxury car seats by far are the Lexus LS430 ultra luxury with the optional annaline(sp?) leather (by far the quietest car on earth, 31db at idle whoa!).

As far as sports car seats that I have been in, that would be easy for me to answer. 89-93 Corvette sport seats. Let me qualify it by saying that I am 6' and 155lbs, so I fit perfectly in them. These seats are awesome for driving around town, and burning up the autocross course.

Best econo bucket seats ever, Honda Civic Si, unbelievable for such an inexpensive car.
