What settings are you running for the street?
Spring rates?
Rebound?
Compresion?
Nitrogen Pressure?

I have Motons on my car and granted they help. But for $5000.00 I would think I should be able to get the Viper to ride as nice as my Z06. Granted they are different but they both have independent suspension, aluminum a-armes, Same size wheels. I relize you are sitting back further in a Viper. I just seem to notice dips in the road that were not there in the Vette. This would be fine if the car was that much greater on the track, but its not. I am thinking for the street I should have went with like a 600lb sping in the back. I could just put the 800lb's in for track days. Any ideas?

The springs will change the handling balance. We use the 500/800 setup and have had very good luck with the ride. 100% better than the stock suspension. Do you have Clubsports? If you have the Motorsports they are not going to ride good as they are intended for the track and stiffer rates all around.

Club sport shocks need 150-175 psi, the higher the psi the stiffer the compression gets and the lower the psi the stiffer the rebound gets.

They are Clubsports. 500 in the front 800 in the rear. It just seems like the rear is a little stiff and has a lot of bounce.:usa:

Make sure the canister pressure is right and that the rebound is 3 clicks hard and 1-2 clicks of compression and try that.

Not to hijack, but would the nitrogen PSI (150 to 175) be the same for the Penske's that I have on my 03 SRT?

Thanks,
Mike

I would say its 3 clicks starting from - meaning softer to harder but I will let Mark answer. I have the clubsports and it took me some playing with to get that nice comfy street ride. Which for me is:

Front psi 190, comp 2 rebound 3
Rear psi 200, comp 2 rebound 3

I will also try to drop psi to 175 soon and see how that does. Had the Z06 C6 and it did make a nice street drive as stock but when the time came to sell the snake or the Z for my next toy, it was an easy decision for me:)

Sorry for the delayed response I have been away and not able to do my regular check in...

Yes the adjustments I quote are from softest to stiffest.

The Penske shock will react similar but it is not apples to apples because of the differing valving curves.

I tend to run lower Nitrogen pressures and compression settings thank most as I think raising either to much is a band-aid. If you find yourself wanting more and more compression stiffness I suggest you lower the pressure and valving settings and start with a stiffer spring set. The lower the Nitrogen pressure the better the rebound will control the cars weight. The spring should be supplying support not the shock for the best handling. Small amounts of compression adjustment is OK and will help you fin tune for different situations but should not be used to fix over all problems.
