Motor City Hotel room up for grabs

[WOT!]

Here's the deal.

I reserved a room at MCC that I will not be using. Instead of canceling it, I thought it would be nice to make sure a member gets it.

The first person to PM me can have the room changed to their name (provided MCC lets us do that). Catch - You pay for the room - I'm out of it after this.

I will be there, I just don't need two rooms.

The Athenium is where visiting pro hockey teams stay. I think the pro basket ball teams stay there too.

I love the GOLDEN FLEECE Greek restaurant nearby..... lottsa guys named Dimitrios eat there ! The restaurant is so old, it hosted Dimitrios and the Gladiators

I love authentic Greek food and I just phoned my friend and told her about the room, she may stay there to keep the room company while I'm attending all the events.

I figured that the jacuzzi shouldn't be idle while I'm out partying with you guys and if I leave a little early from any event you'll know why. I also figure that I'll leave a bottle of champagne chilling each morning in case I have guests.

visiting basketball teams do not stay there they stay in the north suburbs, downtown is 25-30min from The Palace in Auburn Hills. BTW i think the Athenium parking is the same public structure(Greek Town Casino's) you may want to check on that.

yes the parking structure they use is a public area. just leave your car at the motor city where they will have a floor dedicated to vipers and with 24 hour security. i think motorcity hotel is not too far. maybe a $5 cab ride

Cabs just aren't as easy/readily available to catch in the D as they are in NY especially early in morning when you have to leave early am to get where your going, tougher not impossible(just going by my gut feeling) just dont seem to see many even day and evenings.

You are so right, I remember blowing off a meeting to attend the Hawaiian Tropic dinner in NYC and at that time I was in a relationship.....this time I'm single! That was my thought too, leaving my car with all the others and taking a cab or walking the few blocks. Maybe once I'm checked in on Tuesday night we could go across to see the "Ballet" in Windsor...I know I'll need a drink after a 3 hour drive and certainly I'd like to culture myself up a little by taking in the "Ballet".....I've actually heard that the dancers are very friendly.

I'm figuring at either of the host hotels should have cabs at their entrances and if not I'm sure they'll be able to call one for me.
