My check engine light...

...is on at 2,200 miles of normal driving, and one oil/filter change. Anyone experience this in a new Viper?

Have you recently had the battery disconnected or jump-started the car?

Is yes, then a couple of starts/drive a few miles and the light should go out.

steve, its an 09 vert that i think was wrecked and repaired recently

You need to read the code. Otherwise its all guesswork.

Thanks all. Anyway, stopped at Tators yesterday (I live 3 miles away), Rob put the hand held to it and showed an emission code, light is off now. Chuck says it is the result of mostly driving short trips locally. He said the engine needs to be opened up regularly, due to the high flow cats (Corsa)...been gun shy to do so, since the $53k cosmetic crash. That will change immediately...and carefully!
