I needed to replace the drivers side door regulator so "while I was there" I
thought a few interior upgrades might be nice.

The door panels have the same rubbery coating as the center console parts
and of course my drivers side had a small amount of peeling that I could no
longer live with.

So my fix... Paint em.
The interior was too dark and dull and adding some color really made
the difference.

I also searched around until I found the correct sized stainless hardware
to replace the black cap screws for the center stack piece.

Made for a nice touch.

Thanks Austin!

I wanted to bring just a litte color to the interior and
really didn't want to go the carbon fiber route.

I need to do my handles too. They are flaking. Did you sand the latex type covering off?

Nice job. I went a similar route with the center console and even carried it over to the entire dash. I debated about the doors but heard they are a ***** to remove. True? Can you detail how you removed the panels? Did you have them professionally painted or did you do it yourself?

I thought you might like this Tucker. I remember in another
thread you had a bit of peeling like my car had.

The coating does need to be sanded off.

Appreciate the compliments guys.

Yours looks good !

My parts were painted by a Professional Shop. They paint some custom work on my
toys when needed. Good Friend owns the business.

My tip for successful door panel removal:

viper_door_panel.JPG

I Just pulled both door panels without hurting anything.

The pic in the above posts will show you were the clips are located.

Once I removed all of the fasteners that hold the door panel on I
then lied on my back and reached up behind the panel and door and
released the clips while carefully pushing upward.

Door Panel then came off easily.

Hope this helps~

Looks great!
I did the same thing with my silver as well. While it was apart for some stereo work and the radar install, I had anything that was black plastic painted to match the exterior.
I changed every bolt to that touches the silver to chrome in the dash and all the way though the door jams and side sills. I searched online and found a decent price for them. I think it ended up costing me around $40 for all the screws/bolts, but it adds a nice touch. Dodge really left a lot to be desired with the plastic inside.

That looks great and SOOOO much better than cheesy CF IMO.

Thanks Jon !!

I like the interior of our cars but it's just too dark and flat.
Bringing in the color really made a big difference and now I really want to
spend a whole lot of time in it ;)
