Well, it took me a month to get the car...but I would say it was well worth it. Our friend does the new car prep and came in on his day off to prep the car, so I could take it home today. What a great guy! The car is gorgeous and I got to remove all the plastic and inspect the car from head to toe. I also got to be involved in the prep and the prep test ride.....awesome!

dying to read what she thinks compared to her vettes

The 2002 Z06 was a refined monster....quiet in traffic and a monster when you got on it. Pulls hard even in 6th gear. Almost drives itself, but still needs respect.

2006 Viper Coupe...masculine street car, road race car...stiff suspension, demands attention, love the burble and noise of engine and exhaust....its a very masculine car...like my husbands 1987 Buick GN. It looks evil and its like riding a twitching, snorting stallion as compared to riding a geldling. Its all thrill and its very different from the Z06. The Z06 would turn into a monster at WOT, but the Viper is a monster all the time.

I love it. I am still trying to get the seat adjustment and pedal adjustment just right and the pedals are way close together, very tight cockpit compared to Z06.

Both cars are great and I would love to merge the two...but I am sure that I will get very used to driving my Viper daily. I don't think the rough nature of the car discourages me a bit. In fact I think I am a tad wary of the car and very turned on by it......

Hehehe...you fellas should show your wives this review and let her drive your car. You may not get your car back.

I took my wife to skip barber, and she loves it. She never drives my gts though (even less refined than the srt), but eagerly waiting for me to get "my" next Viper... who wants to bet I won't get to drive that one much?

Beautiful car.

My wife had not driven stick in 10 years, wakes up a few weekends ago and says "I want to drive the Viper"...I was dumbfounded. I let her do it, held my breath the entire time and ended up being proud of her, she did well and enjoyed it.

Congrats, Kaya! I know you've been waiting impatiently to get your hands on the beast, so get out there and enjoy! The sooner you get those break-in miles out of the way, the sooner you can have some real fun! :2tu:
