Man in critical condition following Socastee car crash - Breaking News - TheSunNews.com
From another source:
One man is in critical condition following a three-car crash Monday night on S.C. 707 in front of Socastee High School.
At about 5:10 p.m., the driver of a Dodge Viper, Ray Herlocker, turned across both northbound lanes and was struck in the passenger side by two sport utility vehicles, said Cpl. Paul Brouthers of the S.C. Highway Patrol.
Herlocker was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and as of this morning he is in critical condition, according to hospital spokeswoman Joan Carroza.
The driver of one of the SUVs Ruby Rodgers was also taken to the hospital, Brouthers said. Her condition was not immediately known.
Highway Patrol is investigating the crash but no charges have been filed, Brouthers said.
"The guy that contributed to the collision was the man in the dodge viper and he's in the hospital so there's no reason to make a charge at this time," he said.
