I am putting on 20" forgelines all around with stock widths.

I am looking at Pirelli Rosso or Nitto Invo's.

I understand the Nittos cost less and have a softer sidewall, but it appears the Nitto 285/25/20's will give me almost the exact same diameter as the stock runflats. I have tracked my car once and am not sure if/when I will do so again.

The Rosso's closest size is 285/30/20.

The tire size calculator at Discount tells me the Pirelli is 1.15 inches taller.

So, which is the lesser of two evils? Softer sidewalls on the Invo's or larger diameter with possible rubbing issues on the Pirelli's? My car is lowered 1.125". I am pretty sure I want to stick with 20's in the front either way.

If you have either tire or expertise on the subject, I welcome your comments on this.

PJJP, I have 20 inch Iforged Daytona wheels on my srt-10 all the way around. I love the Pirelli P-Zero's. I have P285/30/20's on the front and P345/25/20's on the rear. My car has the moton suspension and my car is lowered about 1.75 inches. I have no rubbing issues as I'm sure that you will not either. I personally have no experience with the Nitto tires so I can't say which one is the best......Good Luck!!

unreelviper, that makes me feel better about the Pirelli's. Is your offset stock or do your wheels stick out slightly more than stock?

ILLSMOQ, Discount says they have the Nitto's.

So now my only concern is the Nitto sidewall flex. Most of the complaints I have read have been vette guys who had nittos in the back and runflats in the front. But if I get them from Discount and they ****, they'll switch em out for me.

I think the Pirelli is the better of the two, but Id go with the Nitto in your situation. It will look funny when your front tire has more sidewall then your rear tire. My friend did a similar thing on his Vette. It looks crappy. The front looks like a balloon and the rear a rubberband. Get the closet to stock and if all else fails, make sure there is more sidewall height on rear rather then the front.

No complaints with my 19/20 Invo tires. I've had plenty of spirited driving on them, they are very quiet on the road and grip much better than the stock tires do.

I just noticed that the wheels on the car that I like are said to be 20x11 with Pirelli Rosso 285/30/20's in the front and the 345/25/20's on the rear. On the 11" wheel, it does not look too tall to me at all.

I wonder if there would be problems with the 11". I think MikeR did 10.5's on his.

PJJP, I know that it sounds funny when you hear P285/30/20's on the front of your car, but, trust me when I say that it will not look funny with the Pirelli tires. It's going to look just like the red srt-10 in the picture. My Iforged wheels don't stick out beyond the wheel well.

unreelviper, you have P285/30/20's on your car? What width is your wheel? The tire rack lists that tire as 1" taller than stock. I am concerned about rubbing the inner wheel well, not the outer.

What is your reasoning for going 20's on the front? There are really no advantages and you will lose the rake of the car. I think the car above looks a bit off with the same size rim on the front as on the back. That is just my opinion.

I have no reason other than I just 'want' them. The Nitto Invo's will be same overall size in the front as OEM.

Try and stick with tires that are as close to stock heights and widths as possible. A bit shorter is OK. Taller is generally not.

Also, wheel offset if very important and should be as close to stock as possible.

Not sure why any of you guys use 20's on this car as it adverstly affects ride and handling, but many do.....

I dont necessarily believe this is accurate. I noticed a vast improvement moving to my current plus 1 setup from the stock setup. Most of the improvement comes from the fact that the stock rim/tire setup is simply overweight with extremely hard sidewalls. Yes there are better rim and tires for ultimate track applications however many aftermarket packages that are lighter will be an improvement for the street, whether larger or not.

Another interesting note is that my rear 20" setup is slightly shorter than stock rear. Fronts are essentially the same height..
