My front rotors are gone. Where can I get new ones and how much? Is it worth doing it since I'll be upgrading later to Stoptech?

Might as well get the stoptech rotors now. You'll have an extra rotor set then if you get the brake kit later. Call Jon B at partsrack as he has the best price by far. I use the 13" stoptech rotor with my stock calipers on my 98 17" rims. I don't see why the 14" rotors won't work with your 2002 and 18" rims.

el,
how can your rotors already be gone?
do you track the car?
it is a 2002 right? how many miles?
it just seems that your rotors should not be gone on 02
already.
dunno.gif

sounds like a possible warranty issue.

If i upgraded rotors i would go with Eraispeed rotors.

good luck
Jim

I hope you don't use the parking brake after your track runs
and you make sure you do a cool down lap or two before coming
into the pits....

The parking brake will warp any rotor when they are hot...

a couple of low speed laps will cool the rotors down and keep
them from warping too.

last but not least.... thin brake pads will also create more
heat on the rotors... change pads frequently... takes 10 minutes

Talk to Matt Weiss at www.stoptech.com he's very friendly and eagar to help. My 355mm (14.2 inch) Stoptech rotors are good for 15 track days. I don't think you can put the 355mm rotors on a stock system without changing the calipar and bracket, I believe the 325mm will work though, talk to Matt.
