I'm about to order new tires tomorrow but can't decide what i want. I REALLY wanted the Kumho V700 but jonB told me they have been discontinued. What a crock! So which front tires are the best these days? Should i just get some michelin pilots? For the rear i run the BFG drag radials because they hook amazing. Does anyone know of a rear tire that hooks as good as the BFG's that handle better than the BFG's? Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys!

I just purchased Kumho V700 about 3 weeks ago, and I was also told they were discontinued.

You can see if some of your local shops still have a set in their local warehouse. That is how I got mine. I got the set for just over $1K. Not too bad considering I was going to pay $1800 for the Pilot Sports.

Talk about some serious grip. I had to wait until the temp was around 45 degrees before I got them installed, and once they were on I just had to test them out. I didn't care how cold it was... I wanted to feel'em. I can't wait until it warms up to see what RPM I can launch from and have a clean hookup.

Pilot sport cups are great tires for traction and handling. I'm sure they will wear faster than the usual michelin pilot sports but if your like me, I'd rather have less wear and better performance.

JUCD-cups are a totally different tire. They were developed for a road course and not as a drag racing tire like the BFG's.The side wall is very firm and doesnt give like the BFG's.They will not hook up as well as the BFG's but you will be able to take a turn much faster and brake better. The cups are a compromise between a single purpose tire(like BFG's or an almost full slick Kumo) and the stock Pilot Sports.
