My Corsa track, random tech high flow cats, and K&N air filter (thanks Mike :2tu: ) will be here soon and I was just wondering about what special things I need to do when installing?

1) I heard the corsa can slip down and burn the side sill so I asked the dealer about welding...he said they can't weld stainless steel there but he can weld the clamp between the corsa and the high flow cats and that will prevent it from slipping....TRUE?

2) Any special instructions for the random tech high flow cats? I was planning on only welding between the high flow cats and the corsa (refer to above). Not sure if I'm supposed to weld where the high flow cats meet the exaust manifolds...no headers as of yet and probably not for a very long time (don't want to worry about warrenty so I'll leave the perf. mods for a few years down the road)

3) Any special instructions for the K&N?

4) almost forgot when installing the high flow cats do any sensors need to be moved around?

Thanks guys.

When installing the K&N be careful with the air temp sensor as you remove it from the old intake. It's pretty easy to bust off the plastic shield and then you're just left with the little wire probe sticking out.

When removing the temp sensor spray a little WD40 around the sensor this will help slide it out. Also a hair dryer can be used to heat the rubber around the sensor to soften it up for easy removal. As always take your time and don't force it.

I haven't had any problems with my Corsa Track slipping. Expanding Yes! Slipping NO! Take your time and follow the directions (I know hard for a guy). Torque to their spec's,start the car a let it warm up then re-torque again. You may want to do this a couple of times before installing side sills. When centering exhaust tips you might want to consider that they tend to expand when warm.

I did the install myself with a friend, and the only thing I had to open up to redo was that I did not line up the exhaust opening to center it with the opening. One side was perfect and the other side tilted to one side. I openned it back up and re positioned it.
