I could of sworn I saw a similar post just last week with regard to question number one. Anyway, my answer to - #1 It's a Personal choice decision. At 25K a year, a low mileage car will be a high mileage car in no time. Although the car should have no problem attaining a hi mileage history, a consideration might be a low mileage might be easier to get a extended warranty on. #2 - On a 96, I doubt if you can still get a factory extended warranty. The original basic warranty was 3/36. You might be able to purchase a "after market" service/parts contract, although they can require a co-pay and be generally more expensive than just good old fashion preventative maintenance. Even Vipers are just machinery, and eventually parts ware out with extended use.Eventually,You are going to pay one way or another. A bigger concern I think would be parts availability down the road, when buying a older model car. Frankly though, to date, most parts haven't changed drastically. #3 - Personally, I think it would be sacrilege, to repaint the unique 96 blue & white color to yellow, and think it would hurt the resale value. Just my 2 cents worth!

I have a 96 GTS with $38000 in upgrades
and 68,000 miles. Great car no problems....
but don't try to sell a high mileage Viper!
There are too many low mileage cars available.
I painted my 96 so I DON'T feel it's "sacreligious"!
The car is the car...don't feel they will ever be a true collectable with these production numbers! So paint it if you want, drive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
