This is my first post, I am planning on buying a pre-owned RT/10 by the Fall. I am set on black, either a '94 or '95. My general question is, how difficult will it be to locate the car I want? I want to got through a local dealer, any recommendations, I am in central CT. Will the dealers you guys recommend typically go down some on price, as with other pre-owned cars, or are Vipers more set in stone, price-wise? Also, if anyone can give me some answers regarding these questions: 1)On earlier RT/10's I believe the Viper front and rear emblem is red, this is also true for the steering wheel. I would want to swap all three out for silver and black emblems, is this possible? How difficult is it to remove these? 2)Can larger chrome tips be added to the exhaust on the side pipes, if so, who has these for sale? 3)I would replace the wheels for GTS chrome, can I set up with those wheels with 18" in the front, and 19" in the rear? Thanks for helpin' out.

I do not know of any used Viper dealers in CT.
New Hampshire- Fitzgerald Motorsports
Massachusetts- Bay State Motorsports
New Jersey- Buhler Dodge
*all of the above have websites if you do a search you should be able to get to them. Price slightly negotiable.
a)Emblems- Can be swaped, easy to change out.
b)Chrome Tips- The Belanger Cat Back System from Parts Rack comes with a nice set of large chrome tips.
c)Wheels bolt up to same lug pattern.

You will do yourself a BIG favor with a call to Chuck Tator @ Tator's Dodge. He's in upper Westchester County, NY, probably 1.5 hours from you (top of 684). He's a Gen 1 owner and EXTREMELY well respected among us all!

GTS wheels are either 17" for the '96-'98 tapered 5-spoke or 18" for the '99-'02 wide 5-spoke wheels. The wheels are cast alum. or forged alum. on the '96-'98s and are forged alum. on the '99-'02s. The forged wheels are polished not chrome.
There are no 19" GTS wheels. '03 SRT-10 has 18" front and 19" rear wheels, forged polished alum. split 5-spoke design.
Several aftermarket choices..HRE, Forgeline, Kinesis, BBS, etc.. Check with Jon B at PartsRack for wheel deals...he takes exchanges.

One Correction 96 wheels are cast. And they are not suited for the track, why?, they break. You can tell the cast wheel by the weld that joins the drum to the spoke section. The weld is on the outside edge of the drum(behind the spokes). Colored 97 wheels may also be cast-the weld is the way to tell the cast wheel.
