Hey guys...
Just a quick hello to the fellow enthusiests. Just got my first Viper (2002 Red/Silver stripe GTS). Actually I'm still pinching myself as I feel like it's a dream....

Looking for a recommendation for a new shifter.....

Hi,

It's a pretty even split for those who favor the Hurst versus the B&M shifters. I'm happy with the Hurst.

You mean you don't like the stock semi-truck shifter??? :D

I have one from MGW and love it

Congrats on the Snake! Welcome to the party :nana:

The combo I have works great IMHO:

B&M Ripper Shifter
MGW Shift knob

The B&M mechanism helps to shorten the throw and the MGW gives it a nice fit/finish. Good luck and congrats!

Welcome and Congrats.

As far as shifters. I cut the post and shifter in my GTS and dropped it about 1"-2". Nice height, looks stock and you can't beat the price.

I thought it was the stripes that mad it faster...

many people think this, and it a very common misconception. stripes actually create quite a bit of aerodynamic drag, thus slowing the car down considerably. ;)

red and "bald" is the only way to go. :D
