HPD has suspended five police officers for the illegal arrest of a number of people while the case is under investigation. Some (these were mostly "kids") were arrested and charged with drag racing and "Suspicion of Trespassing" which is not a crime under Texas law - so, it wasn't only DWI arrests. A number of these kids were simply bystanders and weren't even behind the wheel of a car. HPD is being sued for 100 million dollars (or something like that).

If you're cruising on Westheimer on a Friday or Saturday night, you will constantly get egged on by these kids in their so called "fast cars". One guy almost plowed in to the back of my car trying to show off for a couple of girls in the car next to him. I just ignore them.
