how long do you guys leave your car start before moving it? I leave it alone for about 2 minutes max usually just a full minute and then start backing out to leave.

I leave it on for 30 seconds or so and then just drive easy for 10 or so miles. Usually in the morning I am too tired to have fun anyway, and the traffic *****. Mine is a "almost daily driver".

Takes me several minutes to get out of the subdivision onto a street where I can get above a crawl. But I do not give it any serious throttle until the coolant is up to normal. Takes some patience however.

Having read most of the inputs on cold tires etc: now I just take it easy until the engine is up to temp and long enough to insure the tires are warmed up. It works no more popping the tires and also no more applying power other than moving straight ahead which equals no more need to check my heart rate so frequently.
