Hi everyone,

I was really sad to see my Viper go last year and miss it everyday. It went to a great owner out of state and I know he will take good care of her. I can't wait to get into a Gen V soon!

During my transaction, I really found it annoying digging through records and trying to refer to so much documentation that was saved since 1997. This is what sparked my idea and have been working on building an app to help manage your records in a much easier way - I named it AUTOsist. I am launching it next month for both iOS and Android and really hope others find as much value in it as I do.

I am not sure the rules of the forum in terms in posts like this so I apologize in advance if I am breaking any. I just really want to share my project that I have been working on for many months and hope it brings value to the viper community. You can learn more about it at www.AUTOsist.com. Hi Everyone - Excited to say that the app is officially live in the app store! You can download it free for your iOS devices here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/auto...897916520?mt=8 - If you are using an iPad, make sure you select "Iphone" in the top left corner if you search for it in the app store. It is compatible with ipads, just not optimized for them.

If you have an Android device, we plan on having the Beta version ready in the next week. If you are interested in the Beta version, please email us at [email protected] or reply here and I will get you on the list. It would be a huge help to hear feedback from fellow primers.

I thought this might be something useful so I checked it out. It requires you to create an account which I would never do for an app. Then I read the Terms and Conditions and immediately deleted it from my mobile device. Sorry man.

Interesting. You don't use services like DropBox, Facebook, etc. either? Most services require you to sign up so there is something linking your account with your data (in this case, your records). All you have to enter in is your email address...but thanks for the feedback. Not sure if there would be a way to offer this type of service without some sort of account creation. Any feedback on what we can do in the future to make you feel more comfortable would be great.

The server at www.autosist.com can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network.
Error code: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Thanks for letting me know. We had some updates going on so it may have caused the site to go down momentarily. Should be back up.

I saw this thread last weekend and downloaded the app. It really is a great idea. Still haven't moved over my files from my computer but I can definitely see it being a huge help. Thanks for putting the time in to do this!

I think this is a great product. I previously used Carminder, but the developer does not seem to be interested in maintaining the app. I will download and give it a try. I'm currently using devices with both IOS 8.1 and Android 4.4.4 and will upgrade to Android 5.0 shortly.

Thanks for the feedback Rick! I've used Car Minder as well - lots of cool features. I wanted to create something much more simple and focused on the actual receipts/records. Would love to hear more of your feedback once you have tried it out.

I didn't know that was an option. I'll figure it out today though. You mentioned some new paid features in the future, any hints to what those are?

We will most likely have to charge in the future for importing existing records, but for now we offer everything for free. Our #1 goal is to build a quality product/service and a strong user base. As the app continues to evolve, there may be some advance features that will require a premium membership (for example - advance reports). We would love feedback on other features you would find powerful.

What's up guys? Quick update - we launched the beta version of our web portal which syncs with the app. So now we have iOS, android, and web versions out. We have a lot of new features including PDF upload, reminders, and some other things. We are launching our fuel tracker in the next few weeks. Would love your feedback on our web portal:

Whats up everyone? Just wanted to give this thread a bump and see if anyone has more feedback and/or found the app useful? We have added a lot of new features like:

-Reminders
-Fuel Tracker
-Desktop web portal that syncs with the app

The whole idea is based on a system that is cloud based so you can access your data anytime and upload images for receipts, documents, etc.

Appreciate everyones thoughts!
