I have just got my 2000 R/T 10 fixed to drive. Bought it in Hawaii where I rented them. It had hit a concrete mail box in the front. Anyway, I have had it on the road for about 250 miles. I already need to make more power out of it. I am used to drag racing a 870 hp 68 Camaro. I would love any suggestions on what I can do to get some more hp out of it fairly cheap. Do you guys think NOS is safe, and where to get it???? I have already taken off the cats. Love the car and the power, need more. Help a young farmer??

Cheap and viper should never be in the same sentence, LOL. from what ive learned over the past month, NOS is extremely safe and very gratifying for that power fix we all need. also consider gear swap to 3:55 or 3:73, and last, get her breathing better; box, filters, tubes, and exhaust. Yet another hard to beat for the price; Roe's SC.(and then go with the gear swap, the breathing improv and the NOS, LOL)

What's your definition of cheap? Seems like you make be a perfect canidate for NOS system. Do a SEARCH, grab a cup of coffee, and start reading..... 800+ HP is achievable with NOS.

Thanks for the advice. Will I have to put after market headers on to get the use of the NOS?? I have already gotten rid of the cats and have some pipes made to get rid of the rear muffler. The pipes are kinda loud with the cats gone, so I have the stock rear on again. (didn't throw the straight pipes away though). Have K&N's and no smooth tubes yet. Should I get the tubes made out of metal to mount the NOS in them??

What kind of power gains can I expect out of NOS with the stock motor and cats removed??

Thanks again.

Go big, or go home!!!

With supplemental fuel you can expect up to 640 rwhp with nitrous. We have several customers who are making that power with otherwize stock vipers. The jetting that comes standard with our kits will make 580-600 rwhp on any Gen 2 Viper.

Your stock intake tubes will work, smooth tubes will work, or steel tubes will work for injector nozzle mounting. We use a blind nut assembly that will not pull out of rubber intake tubes.

There is no such thing as too much nitrous(within reason), problems arize when TOO LITTLE fuel and/or too much ignition timing are present. Our kits are calibrated for the everyday use of nitrous without adverse effects on the stock Viper engine. Several of our customers have jetted their kits to much higher power levels than our standard settings with no engine damage.

Again, thanks for your questions and good luck with your search.
