I've been enjoying the random sunny days lately, and finally had the chance to install my Eibach coil springs and new CCW SP600 wheels. The wheels are 19x10 fronts and 20x13 rears (285 wide front tires, 345 wide rears, Nitto Invo). I had the wheels custom powdercoated locally to give it more of a race inspired appearance. The plain centercaps are temporary, I'm having another shop custom make some with Viper head logos milled into them.

Springs were relatively simple to install since I have the proper tools and coil compressor to do them. They take about 3 hrs the first time, but I can do them in 2 hrs no problem now. Ride quality is improved over the stock setup, probably due to getting rid of the run-flat tires. Traction is also improved with the Nittos. The suspension is still stiff like usual, but less jarring over bumps.

Next up is the Paxton that shows up in a week or so. I'll have fun installing that one too! Euroteck 2-pc rotors and EBC red stuff pads are also on their way. I'm getting the car ready for the Texas Mile event in March.

Anyways, here are the pics I snapped this afternoon.

I think those wheels are stunning, especially in white. I am planning on having a set of Sidewinder wheels powder coated white for track use as well. Just out of curiousity, what did you pay to have your wheels powdercoated? Also, did you happen to weigh how much the CCW rims weighed front and rear? Thanks and again, gorgeous rims and car.

I guess I was too excited to bolt the new rollers on, forgot to weigh the new vs old. I'll try to do that when the rotors show up and I get the wheels back off.

Powdercoating is typically $50-75 per wheel depending on where you go. We have a couple different places here in Houston that do them, I use Allied

ledfoot, it is okay to dislike the wheels. I knew going into this decision that it would be a love it or hate it look for everyone. No feelings hurt here, I happen to like them :omg:

That is the first car I have ever seen that looked good with painted rims. I've always hated painted rims, but I have to admit your car is the SHEEIIITT!!!! Looks great!!!

I think that the white is too overbearing. Maybe if just the centers were white..............

I agree....just a little too much white...takes away from the stripes, does the rims look like a big white dot when driving down the road? or a blur of white? Post a video of the car driving if you can...i would like to see your car in motion. I hope you dont mind cleaning brake dust
I think just the spokes should be white on the rims..my .02
but Its your ride

They actually clean up pretty easily. They are powdercoated, not painted. Simple soap and water and they wash like any other type of wheel. They are actually easier to maintain than bare polished wheels. I had a set of white powdercoated wheels on a previous daily driver, never had an issue. Also, the simple styling of these wheels make them easy to clean :)

Looks... "Killer" IMHO. Thank you for the "preview" of what my car will look like with 19-20's and Eibachs. Did you use the "lowered" spring caps?

Congrats for sure...

A very bold look. I like it. What part of town in houston are you located? I would love to take a look at that someday.

I give you credit. When I first read the title I thought they would look like every other set of wheels I see on here. They are not my taste, but as long as you like them then thats all that matters.

Wow very different. I give you credit for doing something original. the 19x20 combination is fantastic. I am sure the difference you are feeling in the suspension is the weight difference from the stock to aftermarket. I noticed it right away even prior to changing out the suspension.

Good luck.

I love the stance of your car!

All you did was remove the Stock springs and install the Eibach springs?

Got a Part #?

Thanks!:headbang:

That is correct, I just swapped out the coil springs. $336 shipped from ebay, $0 for my own installation (haha)

Eibach Part Number: 2830.140

That car looks like a toy car but in a VERY good way. The white really pops especially with the stripes. Very radical wheel choice but it works amazingly. I think we might see a few copycats in the near future.

I like the wheel and I love the car, just dont like the wheels on the car. Its not that it looks bad, it just takes away from the white stripes that really make the blue pop. But with the wheels it tones it down. You do that to a VOI9 it would be sick.
