Hey Jimmy and other Southbound Vipers - Let's change the timing a little to add a little cushion to the ETA - We'll meet at Mobil by 8:45 and leave by 9 at the latest. Wizard will lead the way from there :drive:

It's A Go....."the Club"....will Have To Pay Rain Or Shine

One of the many things I learned from our very own Jimmmmmmy is that sometimes you just have to go for it :headbang: :drive: :headbang:

Jimmy!!!!! He's my inspiration when it comes to rain...I've learned to just go for it. No regrets.

Hey, what am I the rain man now? :omg: lol We've missed out on some good events and good times because there was a "chance" of rain. Many times the day turned out perfect, and we regretted canceling the event. Tony and I, the Wizard, and all who got stuck in the torrential downpour after the first Hopkins Inn event still talk about it, how much fun it was! This is what men are made of, our cars are meant to drive, and to get wet, that's why we wax them and wash them. Are we men or mice? Who's afraid of a little rain or the big bad wolf? Even though we live in the East, our cars are not gong to melt in the rain, like the Wicked Witch of the East. Even though that was fire, you get the point. So I'm just sayin', where would be if we didn't take chances? Like Nike says: Just Do It! :rant2::bdh::sun::sun:

Jimmy and I USE our cars. Rain or shine.:2tu::2tu: Don't start adding on users. Lots of us are the same. Not sure about John???
Thanks Ted :headbang:
Hey, you know what a pain in a.. :moon:it is in a gen 1 to take the soft top and windows out of the trunk, assemble it, and then put it on the car? And after all that it still leaks! :rain:Has that stopped me? Never, and it never will. :pigsfly:Hey if I drive over 40 mph I'm not getting wet anyway unless it's pouring rain. 90% chance of rain and not just showers but constant rain, cancel, 70% or less, go for it, most likely if anything it's isolated showers for 5 minutes or less. :eater:See you you at Oaklands, it's going to be a great time no matter what! :2tu:

I can't remember how many times I got caught with out my Gen II top in the rain. I left it at home most of the time. And your right, the rain blows over you at speed.
OH:D--------wait a minute:D-------I only got caught once in the rain,:dunno: isn't that what I told you Chazz:rolaugh::rolaugh: :2tu:

Just got back, 12 hours after we left to go this morning. Stopped at the Cheesecake Factory on the way home, yum. Had a great day and it was nice to see some faces I haven't seen in a while. The weather was great, lots of cars and people, good food and good times! See you at the next event!
