OBD scanners/readers recommendations

Anyone have any recommendations on which OBD scanners/readers I should purchase? I had one recommendation on the Gen I/II board, but wanted to see what you guys use and or recommend.

What is the difference between a DRBIII that costs @ $6,000 new and thses code readers?

code readers do just what they say they do, they read the diagnostic code, DTC's, that has been set. Sometimes they will clear the code and a few out there will even till you what the code number that has been set stands for. A DRB111 unit does all the above and also give you real time readings of all the sensors, running data streams, on the car and compares the readings to what the OEM program calls for. Some provide oscilloscopes and graphing functions too. I prefer the OTC line of tools if price is no concern and the Auto Tap units for a quality low priced tester that works on all cars. The EASE system is a great unit for the price but I prefer a tool that can do all makes and models of cars, not just dodge, so you can use it on your other vehicles.Here is some good web sites:
