This worked over Camaro SS was egging me on. Whenever he got beside me I quickly put it into 6th gear so the blower whine wasn't heard. Works like a charm EVERY time..... The it happened again.. Yellow crotch rocket gets beside us playing with us.. Road opens up. Going about 80 I put it into 4th and hit about 3/4 throttle. .. result? I slowed down, bike caught about 2 seconds later and gave the thumbs up.. : seems every time I go u against a crotch rocket, they easily take me in 1st and 2nd... 3rd gear I reel them in quickly or slowly depending on the cc of the bike and 4th gear is the passing gear..

Hi Ryan! How's it going up there!!!:D

Your soo right man...I'm ordering the Kumho's 100%, I'm just waiting for the clear guard to come in so I can have some paint left when I throw those on..
It's funny, I have absolutey NO TREAD left on my car. I mean none, rock hard also... Ask Scott at Elite. He saw them and he thought I was crazy for driving with them like that.
I can't imagine how much stronger Roofs, Treynors, and other DLM cars are compared to mine, even the new Level II's. Mine was an old style Level II, etc. The HP numbers are higher, but not by an astronomical amount, but the HP hits SOOOOO much sooner (800rwtq and rwhp at 3,500 RPM! Unreal!) and harder. Doug says those cars would walk me silly!!! :(
i need more power

Gerald,

Where did you order your clear guards from? Is it pre-cut kit or is it a big sheet?

I just ordered some Scotchcal from www.eastwoodco.com, that someone else on the board here recommended - it's a sheet to cut.

Info:

Scotchcal Paint Protector And Applicator
$26.99, $35.94 final cost

Gerald,
I enjoy reading your posts. Keep 'em coming. Let us know how your car performs with the new tires.

John, haha, it JUST came in.. Man what a pain in the ass to put on!!! specially around the start of the side sills and the "lip" that meets the tire well. I did a messy as heck job as I just cut the strip into about 30 pcs and stuck them on there, around the contour(s). Since it's invisible, I'm the only one that can see that it's a hack job. Putting it on further back was pretty easy as it just takes a 6" or so strip and just stick it on.
The rear fender wells are another story also. Another hack job, but I think it will help... Perhaps you can do a better job??

Mine just came in yesterday too :) I'm racking my brain on how to wrap it around the front of the side sills with the minimum of cutting...probably won't get to trying it out for a week or so, but I'll report back!
