I've got my factory muffler removed yesterday ,and installed S/S Magnaflows . At idle it's still nice and quiet with a deeper rumble. At wide open it sounds great . I could have just put some straight pipes there , but wanted to fill the huge space in case those enviro nazis at the testing station looking for trouble.;)

Way better than straight pipes... I really like that sound you got going on. I wonder if I can get those on 3 inch exhaust set up? I have Borla going on but I don't like Borla.

This is straight pipes with high flow cats:

This is straight pipes without cats:

Zentenk .Had the mufflers installed by Budget brake & muffler guys I dealt before with my Mustang . The muffler was a direct fit to the 2.225 stock pipes , but the guy showed me they had 3" mufflers also for Vipers .I like the deeper sound of Magnaflow on the Mustang versa the Flowmasters some guys like.
Your car is sure rasp without the cat and muffler ,hehe.

I will get the mufflers and have them replaced before I put it on the car, are these restrictive mufflers or more straight through?

Zentenk , they're straight through with louvred inside wall, possibly glass pack ?

Hmm is there a part number? What about the shop can they get part number for the 3"? I searched all day for Corsa muffler replacements and found one for the Viper at $900.. just for the drone canceling effect they have. My brain goes numb from the drone in my car.

Corsa is worth the money. The "mufflers" are completely smooth pipe with only a couple of small 3/8"x1" oval slots inside. Nothing sticks inot the flow path of the exhaust and they work by using sound cancellation technology to "tune" the sound of the exhaust. Zero restriction. The "bullet/bubble" is a honeycomb of super thin resonance chambers. Amazing technology. I have both Corsa systems Hiflow Street and headered, No Cat Track exhaust. Being that both cars are Gen 2s my wife prefers the quiet Street Corsa and I prefer the Track (loud) Corsa.

I'll call the muffler shop and get the number for the 3" Magnaflow for you tomorrow. Paid $ 280 for the pair plus installation. You see right through these . I have no noticable drone .

Ted, where do you get the track system from? I understand there are (2) different systems from Corsa. One being a 2.5" (which I assume is the street) and a 3" (which I assumed would be the track system). Is this correct? Finally, is there a cost difference?

Thanks brutha.

Call my friend JonB, he sells tons of these systems and can explain the details and kits much better than I. Both of my Corsas are 3".

I wouldn't pay money for a 2.5" system. 3" mandrel bent exhaust don't have much restriction, but 2.5" with 90 degree bends in it is what we used on small block engines back in the 60s and 70s. Anything over 300hp I'd prefer 3" and mandrel bends.

I used Diesel exhaust piping to build my 3" 2.2L turbo exhaust systems. I figure - if you're going to fix the exhaust, might as well do it the best way possible.

Sweet. Jon and I talked about it briefly via email. I wouldn't spend $$$ on 2.5" either so I wanted to make sure I ordered the right one. Thanks again brutha.

All very cool clips, but is there anyone with a Gen3 that has high flow cats and Corsa exhaust? I'm on the fence on whether to go high flow cats or not. Yes, I know its not the SRT 10 forum, but I didn't find any exhaust clip vids there.

Nice sound!! It is just a little muffled as you can tell when he revs the sound kind of hits a brick wall. I'm sure if it was longtubes/3" it would sound pretty nasty.
