I posted, shortly after I brought home my "new to me " Viper, " Am I the only one that likes their Viper just the way ma' Mopar made it? "

I just finished my fourth mod to the car in just a short while. None of these are earth shattering, but they all seemed necessary.

*First: Skip shift delete. I have done this on all three of my previous Vipers.
*Second: Exhaust tips. I made these myself, polished aluminum, and they make a huge difference.
*Third: Lowering spacers. These only lowered the car about 3/4 inch bit it is just enough.
* Fourth: (The biggest one so far) Hard top.

This hardtop came from a member here named Patrick, he frequents these forums and I am sorry, I forgot his name on here. He sent me a PM when I had posted a question about anyone owning one of these tops. We agreed on a price and I sent him the money. He was very up front and honest. The factory paint on this top was horrible. There was fiberglass texture showing through, fisheyes, and dirt, But the color was wrong and I was going to need to paint it anyway.

I'd like to publicly thank Patrick for the excellent job he did crating the top and shipping it. There are many many first class members on these forums.

Anyway, here is a picture (horrible cell phone pic) Still snow outside so this is in the garage with bad lights. The paint does match perfect now.

From the back. Still have the temp tags, weather has been too bad to go to get it done.

Looks great Steve! The hard top is one thing I would really like to buy, but there's still some things above it on the priority list right now. Then again, I felt the same way about a Quaife, but I came accross a screaming deal and it jumped up the priority list at that price! lol

Funny that you say that, I feel the same way.

1)Skip Shift eliminator
2)Steel braided brake lines
3)Hard Top
4)aradio/6CD changer out of a GenIII (hated the MP3 thing)

.....otherwise it was perfect when I got it.

Here's a pic of the tip. Again, sorry for the crappy cell phone pic's. These do look much better in person than in these pictures. I used a 3" aluminum pipe, cut about 3" long and at the angle to match the body, hit it on the buffer for a few minutes and it looks much better than the stock steel pipe ending there at the opening. And it didn't cost me a ton of cash.

MAN do I love the look of that top on that car:2tu:

I have always thought that it was a major improvement to the look of that version of the Viper. Nice play.

I love the way my car came stock! Modding is just a sickness and I can't shake it. I bought this car so I would STOP modding cars. I have failed miserably so i figure why fight it.

I agree Steve, looks great. Hope to see it in person sometime soon.
Delaware Valley Mopar is having our first get together Saturday. Concord Pike RT202. We will be meeting at the "Big Cheese" at noon. It is a Pizza place a little north of the state line on the northbound side.

The rain today should wash away the salt!

What time? I'm heading up to Manhattan for the evening, but could stop by for a few if I push my trip back by a couple hours.

Yep, I got the email from Rob and Erin. Not sure yet if I'm going to be able to make it, and if I do, what vehicle I'll be in (most likely the Ram.)

12:00. Rob and Erin are great, a good group. Since the forecast is decent tomorrow, I think I'll probably bring the Viper.

Great job on the exhaust tips!

Patent them if you want a hobby!

How about Matching body color tips? Like Red, SSG, etc.

You will sell them like crazy.
