I was thinking yesterday about all the fun I've had with the Viper and remembered that I never posted about this...It happened maybe 6 months ago...
Me and a friend are in a stand-still traffic jam coming home from Atlanta one night (around 11pm). My friend decided to get out of the Viper and stretch his legs. He left the passenger door open. He ended up striking up a conversation with the guy in a truck a couple cars behind us, who had also gotten out of his vehicle. Traffic started moving slowly (5-10mph), so I started pulling up. When he saw me pulling up, he starts to run after the Viper. I saw him and figured he'd run up, let me stop and get in. Well, my friend had decided he was going to do a Dukes of Hazard type stunt and jump in the car as its moving (remember, the door is still open). So, he's running and when he gets even with the car and starts to jump in (me not knowing this was his intention), I STOP for him to get in the car. His momentum causes him to end up crashing into the passenger door and almost completely flipping over it and landing half way on the hood. Just the sound he made when he hit the door at full throttle was something I'll never forget. I literally had tears running down my face I was laughing so hard. For those worried about the Viper, don't worry, nothing was cracked, broke or even had a scratch on it. As for him, one nasty bruise from where part of his forearm hit the door and a very hurt ego.
