It’s my ANNIVERSARY :2tu: :2tu: ,

One year ago today I got a call from the delivery truck, my baby was in town :) :) Took off and went and met her-it was love at first sight! She was purchased sight unseen and I was more than a little nervous. She was gorgeous, every thing I had dreamed of and more. I got in her, stuck the key in and gave it a twist, what a feeling. Then proceeded to drive her back to work-WOW this b*tch has some serious power-I didn’t want the drive back to work to end. I had never even ridden in a Viper before and now I knew what I had been missing. I joined the VCA, bought a Valentine (it has paid for itself MANY times over) and then did the very best modification-I and my wife went to Viper Days.

Now one year and 9,000 miles later I still get that same thrill as I did the first time I drove her. I am more used to the people staring and pointing, I just laugh at the people that want to street race (come on-a Chevy. Cavalier  what were they thinking??? ), no longer cringe quite as bad when the front drags on something but I still have a smile plastered across my face when I’m behind the wheel (ever try to explain to your dentist why you gums were sun burned?).

I want to thank the people on this board that took the time to instruct me in what to look for before I purchased, all the dumb questions ya’ll took the time to answer, the VCA member that took the time to look at the car for me (he even wrote a 2 page report!) and most of all the fantastic Viper owners that I have met so far. I still find it hard to believe the camaraderie of this group.

My only regret was waiting this long to buy her. I’m taking off early and going for a cruise.

If you have been thinking about buying a Viper but can’t make up your mind JUST DO IT, I can promise you the only regret you will ever have is not doing it earlier.

Thanks to everyone!

Bill

Wild Bill,, congrads to you and I can't agree more. This easter week comming will be a year for me as well. Searched for 2 years and found Biff from VMANIA through this site who helped me with the search. Called me up on cell last easter week while sitting on beach in FlA with family for vaction and said
JW I got your car exactly ! 95, last side pipes, yellow, cognac int, stripes, original owner under 5K miles. PAcked the kids/family 2 days early met Biff in MD, looked at car, had it trucked home by that Weekend. THe rest is history or should i say making history as the several get togethers I have had recently with local VCA members has been great. What a wacky but fun loving group of people. Thanks to you All ! JW.

Congrats Bill!

This is my one WEEK anniversary, and due to bad weather, I have only driven my Viper once. I am definitely not used to it! I couldn't believe all the attention, the people honking, waving, staring, screaming (yes, two teenagers just started screaming when they saw it so I stopped to talk to them), etc. Some guy in a turbo Sundance actually tried to race me, as well as a guy in a pickup truck. The acceleration of the car is just awesome; in two hours of driving I had more automotive fun than all the other cars I have ever owned combined.

Congrats! My 1 yr. will next week (26th), but mine is getting a heart transplant over at Arrow.... :(
I suppose though, given that they're servicing the tranny and diff as well, that everything will be fresh and new when I get it back. It'll be like the wedding night all over again :2tu:
