I have an owner seeking help who is having some kind of internet problem registering on the baord. He sked me to post the question for him.
"How to get to the bulb in a 94 RT10 to change it.?"

I seem to remember in Gen 2 there is a panel you go in from the rear of the light assbly. I don't have a clue about a Gen 1. I passed that on to him, here is his last comment...

"Lee: there is an access port at the low edge of the inner fender panel. Could it be that access hole is to allow one to loosen a (nut/nuts) a foot above (from studs) which (may exist) to hold the light box assembly (and then have it lift out)? With x-ray vision it could be easy - ? bb All I could find out from Dodge dealer is that the RATE BOOK estimate is 24 minutes per side to change 2 halogen bulbs! bb

Anybody help? He is waiting to read it here.

it is the same from Gen 1 to Gen2. Take the panel off and the little pie slice section of the inner fender

Yep, that's what I told him, but I was not sure, he got it. Thanks. He may have bigger problems though I don't think you should blow both headlights at once? Might be indicative of something else? Car only has 2k miles on it, I believe he just bought it and realized the headlights don't work. But both bulbs were bad.

Lee.....how much are the replacements?

:) I'd suggest replacing ONE and seeing if it comes on....then the other. :)

Could be an issue....maybe he won't know till BOTH try to power up?

Fingers are crossed for him!

How many Viper owners does it take to change a light bulb? Ha!

The headlight housing does come out, with much work, but that is not how to change the bulb.

After removing the forward inner front fender (those plastic finger screws are likely stuck hard and will break) you have to remove the rear panel of the headlight housing. To remove the rear panel, there are three wingnuts and one thumbscrew. Even after those are removed, if it is the first time remvoing it, the back panel will be hard to get off. It was gasketed on and the gasket hardens. The back cover is more flexible than it looks, so pry one section away and work your way around.

Once off, reach in and change bulb.
