I have a 2001 RT/10 and would like to add a couple things to continue to get it back to completely stock.

First, I got a new owner's manual from Chrysler, but it was just the book... In 2001 didn't it have a black cover with pockets, etc. including the wheel tool? If so, does anyone have that or know where I could find one?

Second, a nice gentleman is trying to sell me a new tonneau cover for the car for $90 (including shipping). Is it worth that price and worth having?

Thanks for any help. :drive:

$90 for the Tonneau cover is a great price as long as there is nothing wrong with it. It's nice to have, but I never use mine. The Gen II T-cover is a pain to install and you'll need the metal rod that should be installed int he trunk. The Gen I cover was a much better design. If I cover up the cockpit, I'll use something like the teamtech cockpit cover.

The tonneau cover I would say is not worth it. The dealership I bought my '01 from was gonna give me one but it's a pain to put on the car and you also have to install these brackets which involves drilling into the windshield pillars. :omg: The owners manual did come in a black case with a bunch of other little pamphlets including one from michelin.

" including the wheel tool?"

Well, I certainly don't remember having a "wheel tool" in the manual packet that came with our 2001.

If by that, you mean the tool that came with 92-98 Viper to remove the center caps over the lugs...no need on later models as there are no caps/covers.

Tried to check ours to be sure, but it's hemmed in by other Vipers...too cold here to move them. Sorry.

The wheel center cap removal tool was not needed or issued after the 98 model year.:usa:
