paint code and best paint ?

I'M considering buying a hardtop but it is black. I was told by the dealership where the paint code is (left wheel well or top radiator support)I'm having no luck in finding it ? Anyway the car is a 96 White/blue. Any help would be appreciated for both the white and blue match. I was told the car is painted with PPG from the factory. ? if it is...is that true ? or does it matter.Thanks

If the body shop is any good they should be able to get the correct code/color # without your help. They just need the year and color. Any reputable shop should be able to paint it blue for no more than $400. Stripes would be more...as far as paint brand I wouldn't worry about it unless you are going to Earl Scheib...

I had a '96 GTS that needed paint work (that's another story). Anyhow, the ONLY brand that would match was Sikkens. We tried numerous mixes of PPG, in their different lines and none were correct. We switched to Sikkens, and after the initial mix, and one "tinting", the match was perfect. I am sorry to say that I don't have the code for your white RT, but your paint supply shop should be able to look it up...as should a Dodge dealer. I would bet that your color is a easier match than my GTS' blue.
