paint flaking

Hi Guys

I've noticed on some vipers that the naca air duct and the two vent grills on the hoods are prone to paint flaking off in the seams of the hood (Gen2).

Is this from the hood and naca/grills flexing,and rubbing together when the car is (hot and cold, car is running/shaking).

I have never seen that on a Gen 2... Maybe the car or cars your looking at have had a bad repaint?

Not sure of the cause, but mine is doing it just a little where the stripes go into the naca duct, otherwise it's fine. My stripes are aftermarket and I suspect that has alot to do with it, since it's just the black and not the yellow underneath.
